extra-virgin olive oil
4 x 125 g
hake fillets boned and skinned
1 x 360g jar
Ballymaloe 100 Recipe Sauce
Method
Step 1
Prep: Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan).
Step 2
Drizzle a little olive oil over the base of a snug-fitting baking dish. Add the hake fillets and season to taste.
Step 3
Spoon over the Ballymaloe 100 Recipe Sauce, spreading it out evenly to fully cover the fish.
Step 4
Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, until the hake is cooked through (you’ll know it’s ready when it flakes apart easily) and the sauce is bubbling.
Chef's Tips
Serve with boiled baby potatoes and tenderstem broccoli or green beans on the side.
Serving Suggestions & Notes
Make it herby: Spoon some basil pesto or salsa verde over each portion before serving. | Bulk it out: Drain and rinse a 400g tin of cannellini or butter beans and scatter them over and around the hake fillets before adding the sauce.
