jar Ballymaloe 100 Recipe Sauce
400 g
cannellini or haricot beans drained and rinsed
1 tbsp
olive oil
1/2 tsp
Dijon mustard
1 tsp
Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp
smoked paprika
1 tsp
brown sugar or maple syrup
Method
Step 1
Heat up the Ballymaloe 100 Recipe Sauce in a saucepan over medium heat. Add some water to the sauce jar (roughly up to 1/3) and swish it around to catch all the sauce still clinging to the sides, then add that to the pan too. 2. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, mustard, brown sugar and smoked paprika. Mix well, then reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer gently for 10-15 minutes. Stir occasionally until is thickens slightly. 3. Drain and rinse the beans and stir them in. Allow them to cook in the sauce for 10 minutes to warm through. 4. Adjust the seasoning before serving.
Chef's Tips
Serve warm with some crusty bread and your other brunch essentials.
